Latest news from Spirit of Youth:

Recently the group organised a trip to the Sandcastle Waterpark with Feature and Flookburgh Youth Clubs.

Fifty five young people enjoyed the fantastic day out at the waterpark; the trip also provided an excellent opportunity for the young people of Ulverston and Flookburgh to spend some time together and forge new friendships.

Other half term activities have included a First Aid Course at Croftlands Community Centre and Kayaking Trip to Windermere. The next planned trip is to Go Ape on the 19th June.

The group operates from Ulverston Youth Base on Theatre Street in the auction rooms.

Every Tuesday evening the group meets between 1830 and 2030 to offer a mixture of opportunities including Duke of Edinburgh, Keyfund and other courses alongside an opportunity to meet friends and socialise for young people ages 11+.

Additionally the project works closely with Feature Youth Club and Young Cumbria; this ensures that the three projects can share resources and maximise the opportunities for the young people of Ulverston and the surrounding areas.

At present the project is working with the young people to raise funds to develop the youth base into a more suitable and appealing venue for young people to attend and enjoy the opportunities available to them. Involving young people in fundraising and development is at the heart of the project.

The Ulverston Youth Base team offer a variety of clubs, drop in and sports sessions for the young people of the town. The clubs provide opportunities to get involved with activities and awards as well as making new friends.

To find out which session would suit you best, please refer to the details below. For any more information please contact the named worker.
