Ulverston and Furness Vineyard Church

Ulverston and Furness Vineyard is a friendly Christian church serving Ulverston and the Furness peninsula.

What Kind of People Are We?

  • We are Christian: what we believe and what we do are based on the Bible.
  • We are not a cult: we enjoy good relationships with other Christian churches.
  • We try to be friendly, welcoming, relaxed and informal.
  • We are ordinary people from all walks of life: not cranks, weirdos or religious maniacs.
  • We welcome people of all ages, races and backgrounds.

People from as far afield as Askam, Kirkby, Gosforth and Shap belong to the church.

What Do We Do?

Sunday Services

We gather together in celebration…

  • To enjoy meeting together in a relaxed, informal way — sharing together over great refreshments!
  • To worship God in a contemporary setting and style.
  • To listen to and apply messages that relate God’s word to our lives in a relevant and powerful way.
  • To serve each other through prayer and encouragement by the Holy Spirit.

Children and young adults join in the worship time then have their own activities.

Where and When

We meet upstairs at Ford Park House on Sundays from 4:30 p.m.

House Groups

We have weekly house groups that meet in Ulverston and Shap on Thursday evenings.

Informal Networks

An important part of the life of our church goes on outside meetings. Church members relate together in informal networks to befriend, support, care for and pray for one another.
