Help for people hit by floods
Published at 13:00, Friday, 12 February 2010
FLOOD victims are being given the chance to relax and unwind for free.
Thanks to a £4,000 grant from Cumbria Community Foundation, staff at Ulverston mental health charity Mind are offering counselling and support for anyone who was in any way involved in November’s floods.
For those who think one-to-one counselling is not for them, the centre is also offering the chance to take part in a range of therapeutic activities. Participants can have a go at yoga, tennis, walking and swimming, or for something less physical, creative writing and conversational French.
