Cheryl wants Simon?
Or Does She Just Want His Success?
Last Saturday’s X-Factor saw Simon and Cheryl furiously flirting with one another, yet again! Simon claim’s that Cheryl has become obsessed with him and through-out the year has turned into his “mini-me”.
As the judges greeted the audience, Cheryl gave Simon’s trademark salute (as she has done every week since this year’s series began.) As Cheryl lifted her arm Simon grabbed it and stopped her finishing her gesture leaving Cheryl looking a little red faced, or maybe she had just over-done the fake tan again!
Last week was “rock week”. However it seems it doesn’t matter what genre their songs should be. If they want it, they will find any loophole they can to use it. Why bother having a theme at all?
Cher sang Avril Lavigne- Girlfriend; if this is a rock song I will eat my own arm!
Cher ran around the stage like a child that had eaten too many e-numbers and with an over made-up face she gurned her way through the song.
For Cher's second song she had a hideous shell-suit effort on that I'm sure I owned in the 80’s. She ended up wearing this after having one of her strops with the stylist, resulting in the little brat getting her own way, AGAIN!
Who is this juvenile being? She is apparently throwing diva-style tantrums behind the scenes that would even make Mariah Carey’s personal assistant run for the hills! But as soon as she is giving an interview it’s like she is dead behind the eyes. There’s no emotion in her face, her voice never changes pitch. She just drones her way through her usual speech “this is my dream; this is all I want to do.”
Well I think I have found the reason for Cher's vacant disposition....She is Cheryl’s robot. I am sure Cheryl has a control box under her desk working her. Think about it, Cheryl has tried to turn her into her little clone since she become her mentor; same hair, same silly dances and she must starve her too to keep her uber-slim like herself! I also think it’s so obvious that Cher is Cheryl’s fave out of her own acts. She is always over the moon when Cher avoids elimination, but doesn’t seem to show the same excitement when Katie and Rebecca dodge getting thrust out of the competition.
Katie sang Sex is on fire-Kings of Leon, well I say sang, it was more of a shouty whisper! She flounced around the stage in a frumpy dress that hung off her boyish figure. Katie threw her arms up in the air and stamped her feet as she danced around the stage looking rather awkward. Watching Katie trying to “rock out” was more like watching a mad aunt dancing at a wedding. She knew she was going and the desperation was obvious.
Rebecca was amazing, singing Satisfaction-The Rolling Stones, but I wasn’t so keen on the U2 cover. It had been turned into a cheesy, 90’s, slow rock song. Not my cup of tea, but she still has a beautiful voice and also seems like a nice girl so I am rooting for Rebecca to win this year’s X-Factor!
