Blog 3

5 weeks to the big day, the training should be kicking in now.

After a glorious day on Sunday, myself and another friend took to the roads and walked to Dalton and back. As the weather was so lovely, the walk was rather peaceful and as it only took 3 hours, we felt relieved that we had done quarter of the K2B so easily.

The K2B website advise walkers to do a 10 mile and 20 mile walk in March/April, leading up to a 30 mile walk in late April. As i have only walked 20miles at the most, the task of doing double that for a fist time K2Ber seems daunting. Hopefully by following the guide to survival (which can be found on the K2B website http://www.keswick2barrow.co.uk/survival.asp) the training will help to complete the 40 miles!
